Dmitriy Andrievskiy sponsored the premiere “Dead Souls”

Under the aegis of the chairman of Board of Directors of INTECO holding, the art patron Dmitriy Andrievskiy, Kiev Academic Drama Theatre on Podol put up the play “Dead Souls” of the same play name of Myhaylo Bulgakov to the 200-anniversary of Mykola Gogol (the 1st of April, 2009).

“This premiera entirely meets our understanding of the celebration the 200-anniversary of Mykola Gogol’s birthday, and is one of the numerous events which was organised by us in honour of the outstanding writer. We have been cooperating with the reserve museum of Mykola Gogol in v.Vasylivka, Poltava Region already for some years. At present together with creative group of artists we prepare a unique photo album devoted to the author of the “Dead Souls”. For that reason, of course, Gogol’s subject is not accidental for me”, Dmytro Andrievskiy noticed, when answering journalists why this project has drawn his attention.

In the eye of Dmytro Andrievskiy, theatres require support more than ever in such uneasy conditions. “They are those sources of spirituality and culture from which our society should draw energy not to turn into heartless Gogol’s characters. That is why despite a crisis, the premiera of the play “Dead Souls” is an art event of the All Ukrainian level. And we can be proud of our involvement in this event”, the art patron noticed.
