The meeting of management of JSC "SA" "Kievvodokanal" with Deputy Chairman of Board of Directors of group of companies INTECO Vadim Demeshchuk and President of Polish company WTW took place in the main office of Kievvodokanal. The questions of alternative electric power production process were discussed during the meeting. In particular, it was a question of possibility of establishment of minihydroelectric power station on site of water release from Bortnicheskiy aeration plant into the river Dnieper and installation of two hydroturbines by capacity to 500 kW.

«Such alternative electric power production process will allow to produce energy at the expense of waste water pumping, without spending gas and mazut. Also during meeting we considered possibility of use of biogas units by capacity 2,5 mW. The principle of work of such installations is us of gas, received at putrefaction of organic compounds, contained in raw materials of vegetable and animal origin. The successful implementation of similar project in the future will alow to receive to 20 million kW/hours of electric power and to 40 thousand Gkal of thermal energy annually», Vadim Demeshchuk underlined.
